Wilens Ltd. is always looking to the future by joining with other like minded companies around the world to try utilise their understanding of lens and manufacturing technology first introduced by Proferssor Otto Wichterle when he formed the Institiute of Macromolecular Chemistry in Prague in the 70.‘s.

Since the very beginning, Wilens has focused in polymer research of new materials for contact lenses and other bio- applications. Spincasting has been developed further and is now successfully used for production of flexible acrylic intraocular lenses.

Wilens has also developed tinting and printing sytems for colouring finished soft contact lenses.

Wilens is now making this know-how avaliable to any interested companies and organistaions who are seeking assistance to develop through the highly experienced Wilens R & D team any ideas concepts they may have.
